The Technical Components Division of Datwyler is formed by the companies Nedis, Reichelt Elektronik and Distrelec. For these companies Datwyler is operating a state of the art CDC in 's Hertogenbosch.

Interim Logistics is looking for a full-time European Transport Lead..

The European Transport Lead is responsible for a cost-effective and efficient flow of transportation from the Central Distribution Center towards customers by reaching the KPI’s of on time delivery to customers and transportation costs per country.

• Implementation of the Transport Strategy and continuous monitoring and optimization of an efficient European transportation network with carriers to meet agreed service levels at minimal cost
• Responsible for the contract negotiations with parcel and pallet carriers (including SLA ’s based on customer specifications, countries, pallet, package, etc. )
• Responsible for export handling which includes customs, VAT and correct handling of agreed Incoterms.
• Continuous monitoring, reporting and management of transportation costs; KPI’s, budgets and general management information
• Responsible for up-to date procedures and working instructions for transport including clear guidelines and rules of transportation of hazardous goods
• Supporting the implementing of ERP, WMS and TMS systems
• Guiding and supporting the operational transport team in their daily operations

• Master Degree and five years relevant experience in an international transportation environment
• Experience with WMS (Witron), ERP (SAP) and TMS (AEB)
• High analytical skills
• Knowledge of (inter)national law and regulations regarding distribution, carriers, VAT and customs
• Excellent verbal negotiation skills and written communication skills in Dutch and English
• Ability to interact with the organization to optimize service levels versus transportations cost
• Understanding and knowledge of process management and project management
• Hands-on, pro-active , cooperative and result oriented
